Smeartaker registration

 GP Registration

Following an extensive consultation process with General Practitioners (GPs), medical practitioners and stakeholders, the NCSS has finalised and made available a contract for the provision of smeartaking services.

All GPs and medical practitioners in a primary care setting are invited to participate in the Programme and provide free Programme smear tests to eligible women.

The contract has been issued directly to GPs and medical practitioners in all counties in Ireland for their completion and return. Any GP who has not received a contract can request one by contacting the Programme office on Telephone: 061 461 390 or Email admin@cervicalcheck.ie

After processing the completed documentation, the Programme office will acknowledge the contract, following which registered persons can provide free Programme smear tests to eligible women.
