Training courses
Accredited training is available through the Screening Training Unit of the National Screening Service (NSS).

Training courses are provided in partnership with:
- Irish College of General Practitioners
- Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Nursing Faculty)
- University College Cork
- National University of Ireland Galway
The training is in line with the recommendations of the NSS Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Cervical Screening.

Training for GP trainees
GP trainees can avail of certified training.
A GP trainee resource pack is available. Training is delivered through the GP Training Scheme.
To earn the certification, GP trainees must complete:
GP Training Schemes will deliver the 2 theory sessions. The scheme must certify that the trainee has completed the theory component. Evidence of dates must also be given.
