Clinical eUpdate for smeartakers 2015: HPV – What health professionals need to know and communicate

An online update that makes available to doctors and nurses the important information delivered in regional clinical updates during April 2015 about the introduction of HPV triage - reflex HPV testing of low grade cytology abnormalities. The eLearning module is recognised by ICGP and NMBI for CPD/CEU points.

HPV triage (reflex HPV testing) of low grade abnormalities has commenced (May 2015)

CervicalCheck has commenced HPV triage - reflex HPV testing of smear test samples reported by cytology as showing a low grade abnormality – with effect from May 2015.

Clinical updates for smeartakers (March 2015)

The dates, times and venues for Clinical Updates that will take place in 8 regional locations during April 2015 are now available. Clinical updates provide smeartakers with an opportunity to keep their knowledge base up to date with the best practice in cervical screening. These updates will focus on a very significant development for smeartakers - the imminent introduction of HPV testing for the triage of low grade abnormalities.

CervicalCheck programme report 2012-2013

The CervicalCheck programme report containing screening statistics for the fifth year of operation (1 September 2012 to 31 August 2013) is now available.

Primary Care Self Audit Tool

CervicalCheck has developed a Primary Care Self Audit tool to support smeartakers in Primary Care. It has been developed to facilitate smeartakers to carry out a clinical audit that aims to ensure effective assessment and compliance with the 'Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Cervical Screening - Primary Care'.

Clinical eUpdate 2014 (May 2014)

Recognised for 1.5 ICGP CPD or 2 NMBI CEU's, the Clinical eUpdate 2014 provides smeartakers who were unable to attend this years face to face update with an opportunity to keep their knowledge base up to date with the best practice in cervical screening.

CervicalCheck has implemented an enhanced search-and-display facility on its website - CervicalCheck – Where can I have a test? - to assist women searching for a registered smeartaker in order to participate in the programme.
